Fifty Years of Innovation

Future Turns Fifty
Analog Devices is proud to celebrate our 50th Anniversary throughout 2015-and look back on all the ways, together with customers, we have always looked forward. From our bold beginnings in 1965, to the innovative opportunities we pursue every day, here's to enabling an exciting future and the most amazing ideas: yours.
In 1977, Analog Devices opened our first manufacturing plant outside the United States, in Limerick, Ireland—the first semiconductor manufacturing facility in Ireland. In 2015, our newly expanded and enhanced site capabilities will reinforce our supply chain excellence, and help continue to drive innovation for customers around the world.
Analog Dialogue
It was 14 pages long. Its first article was titled “Analog Computation with Magnetoresistance Multipliers.” And it changed the industry. It was the first issue of Analog Dialogue, which appeared in April, 1967—beginning a history of articles, insight and support that, continuing today, is now the longest-running in-house publication in the entire electronics field.

Analog Devices is celebrating its 50th anniversary by expanding support of FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a not-for-profit organization founded by inventor Dean Kamen to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology. A global leader in high performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, ADI has contributed to the FIRST mission since 2004 through employees volunteering as mentors and judges, donations of converters, sensors and other products, as well as monetary donations and support of FIRST competition teams.
